Brazil’s Nationwide Civil Aviation Company has green-lighted Sikorsky’s S-92 heavy-twin helicopter for search-and-rescue (SAR) use.
The most recent certification means the S-92 may be operated within the South American nation in all manufacturing configurations, together with as a SAR helicopter, offshore oil and fuel rig transport and regional airline passenger and VIP transport, says Lockheed Martin-owned Sikorsky.
